B6 ISOFLOCK (Marine)

Purpose

B6 ISOFLOCK is approved by DNV, for Marine use (ISO 9094-1, ISO 9004-2).

Material and construction:
B6 ISOFLOCK is manufactured in the environmentally friendly B6 COMPREX foam (regenerated). B6 COMPREX foam is made as a regenerated polyether material (also called bonded foam). The material has effecftive noise-damping properties, as well as sound-absorbing properties. B6 COMPREX foam is manufactured under high pressure, and through this special process, we can create foam materials with high densities from 80 – 230 kg / m3. The product possesses effective noise damping properties as well as sound absorbing properties.

Flexibility in focus:
You can choose whether you want sheets, or if you need B6 to convert after your specification.

Applications

The material is used primarily as an acoustic covering in Maritime engine compartments, Compressors, Generators, Fans, Turbines, Pumps or the like.

In engine compartments on ships, B6 ISOFLOCK is typically mounted directly on the steel surfaces, between bulkhead sections and beams, for the purpose of reducing and encapsulating the engine noise and to reduce the possibility of noise propagation.

If the product is to be installed in special moist environments, we can offer to impose a special edge seal, or to mount an edge of aluminum foil.

Alternatives

As an alternative to the IsoFlok material, we can offer the highly efficient B6 ISOBOAT, which is a sandwich construction, consisting of B028 etc.
